Job Description

General Overview of Position

The position of Payroll Assistant is a full time position requiring up to 40 hours per week and reports to the Payroll Manager. The position processes data to ensure all employees and sub-contractors are paid accurately and as scheduled.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Create customer focused practices and provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Answer payroll related calls and questions.
  • Review various reports and follow up on missing detail.
  • Investigate and complete timecard edits as needed.
  • Complete and distribute various, required reports.
  • Process supplemental payroll items to include mileage and expense reimbursement.
  • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent MS Office skills with emphasis on Excel.
  • Required availability including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to provide an acceptable background screen.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.

 

Compensation

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt.
  • Annual performance appraisals.
