General Overview of Position

The position of Area Manager is a full time position requiring 45+ hours per week and reports to a Regional Operations Manager. This position is responsible for the overall operations of a market area containing multiple customers and stores.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and manage the team of employees to include coaching, counseling, training, performance reviews and employee development.

  • Create customer focused practices and provide excellent customer service at all times.

  • Conduct weekly store walks to drive sales, ensure adequate assembly volume and build quality.

  • Comply with store schedules and coordination of all work, in store and residential, within the area.

  • Review of daily, weekly and monthly reports to drive profitably of the area and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with the recruiting team to maintain required staffing levels for all positions within the area.

  • Oversee Area Training Leads to ensure all employees are adequately trained per Company Training program.

  • Identify new opportunities to further the success of the area and the company.

  • Ensure compliance and assist in the development of guidelines involved with safety, quality and loss prevention.

  • Perform product assembly to acquire and maintain product knowledge and ensure customer needs are met.

  • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

  • 3 years of retail management or industry related experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • General skills in MS Office.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to possess and use required tools.
  • Required availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to provide an acceptable background and driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk for long periods of time and periodically climb up and down stairs.
  • Frequently bending, kneeling and reaching.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small parts and calibrate precise measurements.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.
  • Required overnight travel up 10% of the time.
